What to Book + How to Switch Up Your Routine
What to Book + How to Switch Up Your Routine

As the weather heats up, your skincare should shift with it. Summer brings more sun, more sweat, and for a lot of us — more skin issues if we’re not prepared. Whether you’re dealing with breakouts, increased oiliness, or dehydration from heat and sun exposure, your skin needs something different in this season.

Here’s your full guide to summer-safe skincare — treatments, product swaps, and smart ways to stay glowing (and not greasy) all summer long.

☀️ 1. Deep Peels? Proceed with Caution

If you’ve been working through a corrective series or considering a deep peel like a Green Peel or Tier 2 treatment — we can absolutely still do them. But keep in mind: summer sun and stronger treatments don’t always mix well.

You must be fully committed to:

  • Avoiding direct sun exposure

  • Following all post-care instructions

  • Staying consistent with SPF + product use

For many clients, it’s a better time to focus on supportive, skin-strengthening treatments until fall. Either way, we’ll decide what’s best based on your lifestyle, travel plans, and skin goals.

And the best part? Even our lighter treatments are heavy hitters.

At Taylor’d Aesthetics:

  • Enzyme Therapy is included in every facial – gentle exfoliation with zero irritation

  • Lymphatic Drainage is built into Level 2 & 3 treatments – perfect for de-puffing and detoxing

  • Barrier repair and hydration are always prioritized

💧 2. Time to Switch Your Products

What worked in the winter might clog you up by July. Lighter textures, breathable layers, and smart SPF use are the name of the game.

Product Swap Tips:

  • Heavy creams → lightweight gels or emulsions

  • Over-exfoliating → 1-2x/week enzymes or masks

  • Skipping SPF → Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, reapplying every 2–3 hours

If you’re unsure about your current routine, don’t worry — I’m offering free 15-minute Product Review Sessions for returning clients so we can make sure your products are working with the season, not against it.

✨ 3. My New Fave: Solar Elixir

Let me put you on. If you haven’t tried Solar Elixir yet, you’re missing out.

This lightweight, antioxidant-rich serum is like summer skin insurance. It brightens, protects, and gives a hydrated, glowy finish that layers beautifully under SPF and makeup — with no heaviness or greasy feel.

It’s available now in the studio and online as part of the new Korean skincare drop — and I curated this collection to bring you hydration, barrier repair, and that signature glassy glow.

👉 Ask me about it at your next appointment or shop online while it’s in stock.

🧪 4. Returning Clients — Let’s Check In

If it’s been over two months since we started your routine, or your skin just feels off, this is your reminder: it’s okay to pivot.

I’m offering complimentary product review sessions this season — a quick, personalized check-in where I’ll look at what you’re using, suggest any swaps, and help you build a summer-safe plan that fits your skin now.

Appointments are limited and only open to returning clients.

🧖🏽‍♀️ 5. Keep It Simple, Keep It Consistent

When in doubt, strip it back. Skin loves consistency, especially in summer. You don’t need a 10-step routine — you need the right 4 to 6 products, paired with regular, supportive treatments.

Here’s your basic summer kit:

  • Gentle cleanser

  • Antioxidant serum

  • Lightweight hydrator

  • SPF 30+

  • Enzyme exfoliant (1–2x/week)

Let’s build from there.
